The defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers head to Solider Field this Sunday to take on their division rivals, the Chicago Bears. Of the 16,000-plus wagers that have currently been placed on the game, 83% of NFL public bettors currently favor the road favorites, the Packers –3.5. Green Bay is 10-3 against the spread in its last 13 road games against Chicago and 5-2 ATS in its last seven meetings with the Bears.
Staying in the NFC, 51% of public bettors currently favor the Eagles –9 versus the Giants, while 81% of the betting public likes the Falcons +1.5 over their NFC South rivals, the Buccaneers. And speaking of the NFC South, 73% of public bettors currently favor the Saints –4 over the Texans.
The big game in the AFC this week pits divisional rivals the New England Patriots against the Buffalo Bills. Of the 13,000-plus wagers on Sunday’s game, 63% of public bettors currently favor the Patriots –9. According to latest NFL trends, the Pats are 7-0 against the spread in their last seven trips to Buffalo, while the road team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings between these two squads.
Also in the AFC, 86% of public bettors currently favor the Steelers –11 over the Colts on Sunday night football while 69% of the public likes the Jets (-3.5) to cover against the Raiders. In the Rookie Quarterback Bowl, 83% of bettors favor Cam Newton and the Packers –3.5 over Blaine Gabbert and the Jaguars.
