CHARLOTTE, NC (The Spread) – The Carolina Panthers look to get their first win of the season when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4 of the 2011 NFL Season.

Carolina is 0-2 on the season while Jacksonville is 1-1. Both teams are 1-1 against the point spread odds. The Panthers have went over the point total odds in both games while the Jaguars have hit the under in both games. Jacksonville has won three of the last four meetings in this series.

Carolina is coming off a 30-23 loss to Green Bay last week. The Panthers had an impressive showing against the defending Super Bowl Champs, taking a 13-0 lead. Carolina amassed 475 yards of offense in the loss with rookie quarterback Cam Newton throwing for 432 yards and one touchdown while also rushing for 53 yards and a score. Newton did have three interceptions in the loss. Defensively, Carolina allowed 419 yards to Green Bay, including 308 passing yards from Aaron Rodgers.

Jacksonville was handed a 32-3 loss by the New York Jets on Sunday. The Jaguars were held to 203 yards of offense with four turnovers. Quarterback Luke McCown struggled mightily as he was 6-for-19 passing for 59 yards and four interceptions. Rookie Blaine Gabbert came into the game and was 5-of-6 passing for 52 yards. On defense, Jacksonville allowed just 283 yards to the Jets.

In terms of Injuries, Jacksonville tight end Marcedes Lewis is questionable with a leg injury while defensive end Aaron Kampman is doubtful with a knee injury. Carolina tackle Jeff Otah is questionable with a concussion.
