According to oddsmakers from Bodog, the Seminoles have 1/3 odds to win the Atlantic Division. Other short odds to win are Maryland (7/2) and Clemson (5/1).

FSU has won the Atlantic Division two times in the six years of the Atlantic Division existing. Florida State won last season, going 10-4 overall and 6-3 in conference play. FSU is in its second year with coach Jimbo Fisher and it returns 20 starters this season, but must replace quarterback Christian Ponder, a first round NFL Draft pick.

Maryland has never won the division in program history. The Terrapins were 9-4 last season and 5-3 in conference play. Maryland is replacing longtime coach Ralph Friedgen with former Connecticut coach, Randy Edsall. This season, Maryland has 14 starters back, led by quarterback Danny O’Brien, who threw for 2,438 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2010.

Clemson has won the divisional title one time, in 2009. The Tigers were 6-7 last season and 4-4 in the ACC. The Tigers are in their fourth season with coach Dabo Swinney, and they return 16 starters this season. The Tigers do lose their leading rusher and passer from last season.
