2011 PAC-12 South Odds To Win: Arizona State & Utah Favored

PAC-12 South Division Odds

(The Spread) – The PAC-12 Conference South Division has six teams, but just five are eligible to win the division title. Here are the odds to win this division.

According to oddsmakers from Bodog, Arizona State and Utah each have 7/4 odds to win the division while Arizona has 5/2 odds. USC is also in the division but is not eligible to contend for the division title due to a NCAA penalty.

Arizona State went 4-5 in conference play last year and 6-6 overall. The Sun Devils are in their fifth year with coach Dennis Erickson and they have 16 returning starters this season. ASU had a strong defense, especially against the run, as it allowed just 120 yards per game.

Utah is making its first appearance in the PAC-12, formerly the PAC-10. Utah went 10-3 last season and 7-1 in the Mountain West Conference. The Utes are in their seventh season with coach Kyle Whittingham. This season, Utah has 13 starters back, including quarterback Jordan Wynn, who threw for 2,334 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2010.

Arizona was 7-6 last season and 4-5 in conference play. The Wildcats are in their eighth season under coach Mike Stoops. Stoops returns 11 starters this season, led by quarterback Nick Foles, who threw for 3,191 yards and 20 touchdowns.
