According to oddsmakers from Bodog, Houston is the favorite to win the conference title with odds of 7/4. Other short odds to win are Central Florida (5/2), Southern Miss (5/2), and SMU (13/2).

Houston has appeared in the conference title game two times, winning it in 2006. The Cougars were just 5-7 last season and 4-4 in conference play. Houston will have stud quarterback Case Keenum available after suffering an injury last season. Keenum is on pace to become the NCAA’s all-time leader in passing yards if he remains injury free.

Central Florida has appeared in the Conference USA title game three times, winning two of the three games. UCF is the defending conference champ as it went 11-3 last season and 8-1 in conference play. The Knights have their top seven rushers back from last season, a group that averaged nearly 200 yards per game on the ground.

Southern Miss has appeared in one conference title game, but it lost back in 2006. The Golden Eagles were 8-5 last season and 5-3 in Conference USA. The Eagles return seven offensive starters, including quarterback Austin Davis, who threw for 3,103 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2010.

SMU appeared in its first conference title game last season, losing to Central Florida. The Mustangs were 7-7 last season and 6-3 in conference play. SMU returns 10 starters on offense, including QB Kyle Padron, who threw for 3,828 yards and 31 touchdowns.
