NHL All-Star Game Odds
RALEIGH, NC (TheSpread) – The 2011 NHL All-Star Game is set for Sunday and has some new appeal as the teams were picked by the captains.
The teams are called Team Lidstrom and Team Staal as Nicklas Lidstrom and Eric Staal are the captains of the team and they held a fantasy draft on Friday to select their team members.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made Team Staal the favorite with a spread of 1.5 goals against Team Lidstrom. The over/under for the game has been set at an amazing 16.5 goals.

All-Star games tend to be high scoring with the last three games having posted at least 15 goals. Last year saw 23 goals scored while 2007 had 21. Due to the draft, it is hard to size up either team as each has equal talent and scoring ability. Team Staal has the support of the crowd as he is a member of Carolina and is playing in front of his fans.
