Brett Favre will square off against his former team one last time on Sunday as the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers at 1PM ET.
The Packers are 6-3 on the season and 2-2 on the road while Minnesota is 3-6 overall and 3-1 at home. Trends show that the Packers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games with Minnesota and last seven in Minnesota. The road team is also 12-5 ATS in the last 17 of this series.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made Green Bay a 3-point road favorite on Sunday against the Vikings. The over/under has been set at 44. (View Matchup).
Opening odds had Green bay favored by a point but the spread has moved up during the week to 3 points. The over/under total opened at 43.5 and since added the ½ point to get to 44.
The Vikings are coming off three losses in their last four games. Brett Favre has been cold in the losses as on the season, he has thrown for 2,066 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he also has 16 interceptions. Adrian Peterson has provided some relief for the offense, as he has rushed for 908 yards, which is second in the NFL. The Minnesota defense is giving up 21.7 points and 310.8 yards per game and has just 14 sacks for the year.
Green Bay has been one of the top defenses in the league, as they allow just 15.9 points per game, which is second fewest in the NFL. The Packers are tied for the league lead in sacks with 28 and they also have four defensive touchdowns. On offense, the Packers average 24.6 points and 344.7 yards per game. Their passing attack has been their biggest weapon as Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 2,300 yards and 15 touchdowns.
In terms of injuries, Green Bay receiver Donald Driver is questionable for the game with a quad injury while Minnesota receiver Sidney Rice is listed as questionable as well with his hip injury that has kept him from playing all season. Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrien are both questionable for the game as well with injuries.
