Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Giants a 7-point favorite over the Seahawks in Week 9. The over/under total for this game is currently 40.5 points.
The Giants enter Sunday’s game with a 5-2 record and have covered in four of their first seven games. They’re also 2-1 on the road this year and have covered in two of their three games away from East Rutherford.
The Seahawks are 4-3 overall and are 4-3 against the number to start the year. They’re a perfect 3-0 at home this season and covered in all three of those games at Qwest Field.
Our Week 9 Pick:
The Giants are scorching hot right now and will face a backup in Charlie Whitehurst, who will start for the injured Matt Hasselbeck. That’s not a good sign for the Seahawks seeing as how Whitehurst hasn’t taken a snap this season and the Giants boast one of the most fear pass rushes in the league. The Hawks have been a different animal at home this year, but the injury to Hasselbeck changes a lot. We think the Giants could roll in this one and our pick is New York minus the points.
