Jaguars vs. Cowboys Odds
The Dallas Cowboys play their first full game without Tony Romo on Sunday when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1PM ET.
The Cowboys are 1-5 on the season and 0-3 at home while the Jaguars are 3-4 on the season and 1-2 on the road. Dallas has won two of the last three at home against the Jags.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL have made the Cowboys a 6.5-point favorite at home against the Jaguars. The over/under has been set at 44.
Dallas opened as a 7.5-point favorite against the Jaguars but the spread has moved down throughout the week and is now at 6.5. The over/under started at 43 and dipped to 42.5 before climbing up to 44.
Dallas has lost three straight and lost quarterback Tony Romo for most of the remainder of the season last week when he suffered a broken collarbone against the Giants. The Cowboys have had all five losses come by seven points or less this season. Jon Kitna takes over at quarterback, having gone 16-of-33 for 187 yards and two touchdowns last week. Miles Austin has caught36 passes for 524 yards this season while Bradie James leads the defense with 46 tackles and DeMarcus Ware has eight sacks.
Jacksonville has dropped two in a row, giving up at least 30 points in both losses. In fact, the Jags have given up at least 26 points in their last five games. David Garrard has thrown for 838 yards and nine touchdowns on the year, but he sat out last week with a concussion. Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for 510 yards and one score while Daryl Smith and Kirk Morrison each have 40 tackles to lead the defense.
The underdog is 3-0-1 against the spread in the last four meetings between the Jaguars and Cowboys.
Jacksonville defensive end Jeremy Mincey is questionable for Sundayβs game with a hand injury while Dallas cornerback Terence Newman is questionable with a rub injury and guard Kyle Kosier is out due to an Achilles injury.
