The 49ers have been equally bad in their first seven games. They fly to London with a 1-6 record and have failed to cover in five of their first seven games. They’re also coming off a loss against the previously winless and dreadful Panthers.

Both of these teams are pure garbage, but the Broncos should be more focused after the Raiders destroyed them last week. The 49ers are starting Troy Smith and seeing as how he’s been running the practice squad lately, Mike Johnson’s offense will be completely scaled down. If Denver’s run defense doesn’t fall asleep like it did last week against Oakland, then they’ll have a shot to win overseas. They need to shut down Frank Gore and force Smith to go vertical on them, which he won’t be able to. The 49ers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five games as a favorite. Our pick is the Broncos.
