Jaguars vs. Chiefs Odds
Jacksonville and Kansas City both are in need of a win when the two meet in Week 7 of the NFL Season on Sunday at 1PM ET.
The Jaguars are 3-3 on the season while the Chiefs are 3-2. Both teams are coming off a loss last week. The Jaguars have won six of the last eight meetings with Kansas City.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL have made Kansas City a 9.5-point favorite at home against the Jaguars on Sunday. The over/under has been set at 37.5.
The odds haven’t changed for this game as they were released late due to the injury issues involving the Jacksonville quarterbacks.
Jacksonville is coming off a 30-3 loss at home to Tennessee where quarterback David Garrard suffered a concussion and forced Trent Edwards into the game. Should neither be able to play on Sunday, Todd Bouman will get the start. The Jaguars have scored 13 points or less in all three losses but posted at least 24 points in all three wins. Garrard has thrown for 838 yards and nine touchdowns on the year while Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for 463 yards and a touchdown. The defense has been led by Aaron Kampman who has three sacks.
Kansas City started off 3-0 but has lost the last two games to Indianapolis and Houston. The Chiefs have been led by the tandem of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones who have rushed for 754 yards and three touchdowns while Matt Cassel has thrown for 851 yards and seven touchdowns. The defense has been led by Derrick Johnson, who has 43 tackles.
Trends favor Kansas City in this game as the Chiefs are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games while the Jaguars are just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven against a team with a winning record.
Jags quarterback David Garrard is doubtful for Sunday’s game as he overcomes his concussion while Trent Edwards is questionable with a thumb injury. Kansas City tackle Ryan O’Callaghan is questionable for Sunday’s game with a groin injury.
Of the limited public bets that have been made for this game, 79% are going on Kansas City -9.5 against Jacksonville.
