The Chiefs are 3-1 on the season and 1-1 on the road while Houston is 3-2 overall and 1-2 on the road. These two teams have split the all-time series 2-2.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made Houston a 4.5-point favorite against Kansas City on Sunday. The over/under has been set at 44.5.

The opening line had Houston favored by 5 points and the line has altered back and forth from 5 to 4.5 and is settled in at 4.5 now. The over/under started at 44 and climbed up a point to 45 before backing down to 44.5.

Houston started 2-0 but has lost two of its last three including a 34-10 loss to the Giants last weekend. Houston has scored at least 30 points in all three wins but 13 or less in the two losses. The key has been in the running game as Arian Foster rushed for just 25 yards last week but is averaging 112.8 yards per game on the season. Matt Schaub has thrown for 1,233 yards and seven touchdowns on the year, but also has five interceptions.

Kansas City was the last unbeaten in the NFL before losing 19-9 to the Colts last weekend. The Chiefs have been led by a strong running game and a strong defense. Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones have combined for over 550 rushing yards and two scores while the defense is holding opponents to just 14.3 points per game.

The trends favor Houston as the Texans are 4-0 against the spread after failing to cover the week before and 4-0 ATS in their last four after a double-digit loss at home. Kansas City is just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 after failing to cover in the previous game.

Houston defensive end Mario Williams is questionable for this game with a shoulder injury while linebacker Brian Cushing is probable with a knee injury. For Kansas City, tackle Branden Albert is questionable with an elbow injury.

Over 18,300 bets have been made on this game with 52% backing Kansas City +4.5 against Houston.
