Seahawks vs. Rams Prediction

NFC West rivals battle this weekend by the Arch, as the St. Louis Rams host the Seattle Seahawks at 1:00PM ET. Let’s preview the matchup and make a prediction for this contest.

Bet Seahawks vs. Rams

Before we make our prediction, let’s take a look at the odds for this game.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Seahawks 1.5-point favorites over the Rams in Week 4. The over/under total for this game has been set at 40 points.

The Seahawks have certainly been one of the more surprising teams in the NFL this season, winning two of their first three games and jumping into first place in the NFC West. They’re coming off a surprising victory over the Chargers last Sunday, in which they caused five turnovers.

The Rams were also victorious last weekend as they knocked off the Redskins to secure their first home win in over three years. It was also rookie quarterback Sam Bradford’s first career victory in the NFL.

The Prediction:

The Seahawks are 2-1, but their play is night and day at home compared to on the road. They’ve always been one of the more inconsistent road teams in the league, even dating back to their run at the Super Bowl earlier this decade. There’s no bigger proof of that then this season, where both of their wins have come at home and their only loss was a beat down at the hands of the Broncos in Denver. Therefore, our prediction is for the Rams, who have been in every game this year and who are now playing with confidence following their first victory. The health status of running back Steven Jackson is concerning, but this is more about the Seahawks than it is about the Rams. Seattle is simply a different team on the road then they are at home.
