Bills vs. Patriots Free Pick
AFC East rivals square off in Week 3 this Sunday when the New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills at 1:00PM ET. Here’s our free pick for this game.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Patriots 14-point favorites over the Bills in Week 3. The over/under total for this game has been set at 42.5 points.
There were a couple of factors that went into making this free pick, but the biggest takeaway here is that the Patriots are a) playing at home, b) coming off a loss and c) will be taking on a backup quarterback.
I’m usually hesitant to offer a free pick for a team that has to lay double-digit points, but I made the exception last week for the Packers and I’ll do the same in Week 3 for the Patriots. Buffalo is a bad football team and while Ryan Fitzpatrick replacing Trent Edwards isn’t a monumental change (it may even be an upgrade), it proves that Chan Gailey and the Bills are desperate to generate some offense.
The Free Pick:
There’s a good chance that Buffalo doesn’t even score and the Patriots aren’t going to let their foot off the gas at home. They’re coming off an embarrassing loss to the Jets and the Bills are the perfect patsies to get them back on track. Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Wes Welker should have no problem tearing up a Bills defense that is overmatched, undermanned and tired from being on the field a lot over the past two weeks. For this free pick, I advice to lay the points and watch the Patriots roll.
