The biggest rivalry in the golf world is between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Here is a look at both heading into the 2010 British Open Golf Tournament.

Both golfers are among the favorites to win the tournament, but in a head-to-head matchup, Woods is expected to get the best of Lefty.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL, Tiger Woods has a money line of -155 against Mickelson, who has a line of +115. Here is a look at both golfers heading into this tournament, which takes place from St. Andrews Old Course in

Fife,
Scotland and begins on Thursday.

Tiger Woods -155:
Woods is a three-time British Open winner with his last title coming in 2006. Woods has won two of his British Open titles at
St. Andrews, as he won by six shots in 2000 and two shots in 2005. Woods missed the cut in last year’s British Open and did not play in 2008 due to injury. His last top 10 in the event was his 2006 victory. Woods is winless thus far in 2010 but has finished fourth in both major championships. Aside from that, Woods has struggled, finishing no better than 19^th in an event.
 
Phil Mickelson +115:
Mickelson has never won the British Open and his best finish was third in 2004. It is the only top 10 Mickelson has in the Open Championship in 16 attempts. In the past two Opens at
St. Andrews, Mickelson finished 11^th in 2000 and 60^th in 2005. This year, Mickelson has done well, winning the Masters and finishing fourth at the U.S. Open. In 14 tournament this year, Mickelson has finished in the top 10 in five of them.

Who will win: Due to Woods recent issues we would likely suggest Mickelson, but this tournament doesn’t suit his game. Mickelson has struggled greatly at the British Open and his rebellious style usually leads to big numbers because of wayward tee shots. Even if Woods is not at his best, his familiarity with the course should be enough to allow him to finish higher than Mickelson.
