5/26/10 Indianapolis 500 Odds – Marco Andretti 20-1 To Win

Once considered the future of the IRL Series, Marco Andretti is hoping to live up to that potential this Sunday in the 2010

Indianapolis 500.

Andretti finished second in his first Indy 500 showing back in 2006, but has had just one win in four years since that time.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction currently list Andretti at 20/1 to win the 2010 Indy 500. Helio Castroneves, who won the pole on Saturday, is the current favorite at 5/2 and Scott Dixon is 7/2 to win.

Andrettit has raced four different times in the Indy 500 and finished in the top three two times, but finished outside the top 20 on the other two occasions. In 66 career races, Andretti has just one win with 24 top 10’s. This season, he has finished inside the top 5 on one occasion. For Sunday’s race, Andretti will start 16^th.
