2010 NFL Week 1 Odds
The 2010 NFL season is still months away, but oddsmakers have released the point spreads and over/under totals for Week 1. Let’s take a look.
The season opens with a NFC Championship Game rematch between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Saints a 5-point favorite over the Vikings, who, as of this writing, still don’t know whether or not Brett Favre will be starting under center or not.
The AFC defending champion Indianapolis Colts will open in Texas as 3-point favorites over the Houston Texans, while the over/under total has been set at 48 points.
The New York Jets, who were one win away from appearing in the Super Bowl last season, open their 2010 schedule by hosting Rex Ryan’s former team, the Baltimore Ravens. The Jets have been installed as a 3-point favorite, while the opening over/under total has been set at 38 points.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will open the season without suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger when they host the Atlanta Falcons. The Steelers have been made a 1-point favorite over the Falcons, who should be playoff contenders in a competitive NFC.
