Kentucky Derby Odds
The 136th running of the Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, May 1 and oddsmakers have installed Eskendereya as the opening favorite.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made Eskendereya a 6/1 favorite to win the 2010 Kentucky Derby. Following Eskendereya in odds are Lookin at Lucky (8/1), Super Saver (10/1) and Caracortado (10/1).
Eskendereya is coming off a strong performance at the Fountain of Youth on February 20th by placing first. Eskendereya also placed first at Gulfstream Park on January 7 and first at Belmont Park for the Pilgrim S. on October 4 of last year.
Lookin at Lucky is also coming off a successful win after placing first at Hollywood Park at the CashCall Futurity on December 19 of last year. Lookin at Lucky also finished second at Oak Tree at Santa Anita at the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile on November 7 and won four straight races (Norfolk S., Del Mar Futurity, Best Pal S., Maiden Special Weight) previous to that date.
Super Saver is coming off a victory at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Jockey Club S. on November 28, 2009, while Caracortado won on February 13, 2010 at Santa Anita Park in the Robert B. Lewis S. Caracortado also won his four straight races previous to the victory at the Robert B. Lewis S.
