Women’s Super G Odds
Lindsey Vonn hopes to bounce back from a fall in the super combined when she competes in the Women’s Super G during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
According to vancouver2010.com, Super-G, for super giant slalom, combines the speed of downhill with the more precise turns of giant slalom. The course is shorter than downhill but longer than the giant slalom course. Each skier makes one run down a single course. The fastest time determines the winner.
Despite a nagging shin injury, the American Vonn is still favored to win the gold in this event.
Vonn has odds of 1/2 to win the gold medal in this event according to online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds to win are Elisabeth Gorgl (6/1), and Maria Riesch (8/1).
After winning gold in the downhill, Vonn crashed during the super combined and did not medal. Vonn is the defending world champion in the Super G, but has been dealing with a bruised shin that has limited her training leading into the Olympic games.

Riesch won the gold medal in the super combined and is the 2009 world champion in the slalom. She has won two World Cup events in her career in the Super G.
