Men’s 1,000M Odds
One of the few speed skating events where an American is favored at the 2010 Winter Olympics is the Men’s 1,000 Meter Speed Skating event.
In this event, the skating takes place on a 400 meter oval ice rink. Timed to one-hundredth of a second, athletes compete in by skating counter-clockwise around the oval and changing lanes once per lap, which equals out the distance.
American Shani Davis is the defending gold medal winner and a two-time world champion for this event, and favored to win the gold in
