Women’s Pursuit Odds
The Women’s Cross Country Pursuit is one of the most challenging skiing events of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
The women’s pursuit is a 15 kilometer race that is broken up into two different 7.5 kilometer sections. The first 7.5 kilometers is done in classical style while the second 7.5 kilometers is done freestyle. At the midway point, skiers will change skis and poles, similar to a pit stop in NASCAR.
For this event, 2009 world champion, Justyna Kowalczyk, is favored to take home the gold medal.
Kowalczyk enters the event with odds of 3/1 to win the gold according to online sports book Brobury Sports. Other short odds to win are Charlotte Kalla (5/1), Marit Bjoergen (5/1), and Aino-Kaisa Saarinen (6/1).
