Steelers at Panthers
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers both have playoff aspirations and the two teams will meet in Charlotte on Thursday night at 8:00PM ET.
In their third preseason game of the year, the Steelers shut out the Bills 17-0 to cover the 6-point spread. With the total set at 36, the score fell way under.
The Panthers didn’t have as much success as the Steelers did in their preseason game, dropping a 17-13 contest to the Ravens. Carolina failed to cover the 3-point spread, while the 30 points went under the posted total of 36.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Panthers 3-point home favorites over the Steelers on Thursday night. The over/under total has been set at 34.
Neither of these teams is expected to play their starters for more than a series or two and it’s doubtful the Steelers trot out quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for this game. The fourth preseason game is generally the hardest to handicap of the year because of its unpredictability.
