Saints at Texans Odds
Two teams that won their preseason openers will meet in Houston on Saturday night as the Texans host the New Orleans Saints at 8:00PM ET.
The Saints defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 17-7 in their preseason debut last week, as quarterback Drew Brees completed 6-of-9 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown. Mark Brunell was also sharp, completing 9-of-13 attempts for 128 yards and a touchdown.
In the Texans’ opener, Matt Schaub was a perfect 7-of-7 for 70 yards as Houston defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 16-10. Backup Dan Orlovsky was 9-of-20 for 121 yards, while receiver Andre Davis caught three passes for 40 yards.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Texans 3-point home favorites in this contest. The over/under total has also been established at 39.
The trends favor the Saints in this matchup, as New Orleans is 21-9 against the spread as a road underdog and Houston is just 2-8 ATS coming off an under cover.
