INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts are coming off an emotional 30-27 win over the Packers in which they rallied after trailing 21-3 in the first half. Players had been informed that their head coach Chuck Pagano had leukemia earlier in the week, so the victory was inspirational for the city of Indianapolis. The Colts have now covered the spread in two of their first four games, with this latest cover coming as a 6.5-point home underdog. Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck leads the team in passing with 1,208 yards, while Reggie Wayne has already racked up 506 yards of receiving through four games.

NEW YORK: The Jets are unraveling fast. After winning two of their first three games, they’re 0-2 over the last two weeks but have covered in three of their first five contests this year. Although the Texans beat New York 23-17 on Monday night, the Jets covered as a 9.5-point home favorite. But their offense remains stagnant with Mark Sanchez (1,043 passing yards) at the helm. At some point one would think that we’ll see Tim Tebow take the reins, although it’s not as if he’ll fare much better as a passer. The Jets simply lack offensive weapons, especially with receiver Santonio Holmes shelved for the year with a foot injury.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Jets are 3-point favorites over the Colts, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 4.5 points. The Colts enter this game with an overall record of 2-2 and are 0-1 on the road this year, while the Jets are 2-3 overall and 1-2 at home.

TRENDS: The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams while the Colts are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Jets. Indy is also 1-4-1 ATS in its last six trips to New York.
