(The Spread) – It will very likely be an early preview for next week’s NBA playoffs Friday night as the Oklahoma City Thunder entertain the Denver Nuggets.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog.com have made Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder a 4-point favorite in the matchup and the over-under currently sits at 202.
According to latest NBA trends, the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Oklahoma City. The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall. The Nuggets are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings, while they are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Oklahoma City.
Durant scored 32 points in a 101-94 victory Tuesday at Denver, then followed up with 29 points Wednesday in a 112-108 victory at home over the Los Angeles Clippers. Denver’s J.R. Smith poured in 23 points off the bench Wednesday in a 104-96 win at Dallas.
Among the other NBA games Friday night is in Boston as the Celtics host the Washington Wizards at 7:30PM EST. Boston is a -12.5-point favorite, while the over-under is at 194. Memphis is home to face Sacramento at 8:00PM EST. The Grizzlies are 9-point favorites and the over-under is 203. The New Orleans Hornets are at home to play the Phoenix Suns at 8:00PM EST. New Orleans is a 5.5-point favorite and the over-under is 199.5. Portland entertains the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:00PM EST. The Lakers are 1.5-point favorites, while the over-under has not yet been released.
