Kenseth goes wire-to-wire

KANSAS CITY, KS (TheSpread) – Matt Kenseth started the day in first and finished the day in first, as he was the victor in the STP 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

Kenseth has a solid day all around, leading a total of 163 laps before holding off Kasey Kahne for the victory, his second of the season.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kenseth had 8/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, which means a $100 wager on him to win will pay out an additional $800.

Kenseth moves up to eighth place in the point standings with his victory. He is now 54 points behind Jimmie Johnson for first place. Johnson had a solid day himself on Sunday, finishing in third place. Kahne now moves into second place, just 37 points out of first place.
