FARMINGDALE, NY (TheSpread) – The first event of the 2012 FedEx Cup Playoffs is The Barclays, which takes place this week. Here is a look at the odds to win this tournament.

According to oddsmakers, both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are the favorites to win this tournament, as each has 7/1 odds. Justin Rose comes in with 20/1 odds to win.

McIlroy is the top-ranked golfer in the world coming into this tournament. He is coming off a win in the PGA Championship and he has placed in the top 10 in four of his last six events. McIlroy didn’t play in this event last year and was 56th in 2010.

Woods is third in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 11 in five of his last seven events, including two victories. Woods didn’t play in this event last year but placed 12th in 2010.

Rose is eighth in the world rankings. He has placed in the top 10 in eight of his last 11 tournaments. He placed sixth in this tournament last year and 15th in 2010.

The Barclays takes place from Thursday, August 23 and will run through Sunday, August 26 from Bethpage-Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. For complete odds for each golfer to win The Barclays, see below.
