(The Spread) – Although his offseason was a little scary when he was shaken up during a fight, Wisconsin running back Montee Ball is expected to have a tremendous season for the Badgers again this season.
According to oddsmakers Ball’s odds to win the 2012 Heisman Trophy is 6/1, which puts him just behind USC quarterback Matt Barkley (3/1) to walk away with the prestigious award this year. Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is 15/2, West Virginia signal caller Geno Smith is 8/1, and Landry Jones of Oklahoma is also 8/1.
Getting back to Ball, his over/under for total rushing yards has been set at 1,500, with the over carrying odds of -110 and the under carrying odds of -130. The over/under for his total rushing touchdowns are 21.5, with the over carrying -105 odds and the under carrying odds of -135.

Who will have more rushing yards between Ball, Nebraska’s Rex Burkhead, Michigan State’s LeVeon Bell, Michigan’s Fitzgerald Toussaint and Ohio State’s Jordan Hall? Bell is the favorite at -110, while Burkhead is +240 and Bell is +275. Toussaint, meanwhile, is +485 while Hall is the long shot among this group at +580.
Who will have more rushing touchdowns among that same group? Ball is once again favored at -120, while Bell is +235 and Burkhead is +240. Toussaint is +565 to have the most rushing touchdowns among these Big Ten running backs, while Hall is the long shot at +760.
