According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Florida State is a 4/11 favorite to win the 2014 BCS National Championship, while Ohio State has the next-best odds at 4/1. The Auburn Tigers are also 11/2, while the Missouri Tigers are 8/1 and the Alabama Crimson Tide are 40/1 despite having this week off following their loss to Auburn.
A Florida State vs. Ohio State BCS exact matchup has 4/7 odds, while a Florida State-Auburn matchup is 3/1 and a Florida State-Missouri matchup has 13/4 odds. Any other matchup has 10/1 odds, making it a long shot that the Seminoles won’t be the title game, or at least not playing Ohio State, Auburn or Missouri.
Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is a current 1/8 favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this year, while Northern Illinois’ Jordan Lynch is 7/2 and A.J. McCarron and Braxton Miller is 15/1. The current long shot is Boston College running back Andre Williams, who has rushed for 2,102 yards and 17 touchdowns this season.
The current conference championship point spreads are as follows: Auburn is a 2-point favorite over Missouri in the SEC title game, while Florida State is a 29-point favorite over Duke in the ACC championship matchup. Ohio State is a 5-point favorite over Michigan State in the Big Ten championship tilt, while Arizona State is a 3-point favorite over Stanford in the Pac-12 title game.
