LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Floyd Mayweather and American Pharoah paid out 4/1 after claiming victory in their respective sports on Saturday.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, a wager of Mayweather beating Manny Pacquiao and American Pharoah winning the Kentucky Derby paid out 4/1. With Mayweather and American Pharoah both being favored in their respective sports, the pay out wasn’t as lavish as some of the other prop scenarios.
Mayweather turned in a vintage performance on Saturday night, out-boxing Pacquaio to a win a unanimous decision in what has been one of the most hyped fights in boxing history. Judge Dave Moretti scored the fight 118-110, while fellow judges Glenn Feldman and Burt Clements both had it 116-112. Mayweather is now 48-0 lifetime in his career.
In the Kentucky Derby, Dortmund set the pace early at Churchill Downs, but finished third when he was out-raced by Firing Line and American Pharoah down the stretch. American Pharoah has opened as a 7/5 favorite to win the Preakness Stakes on May 16.
