LOS ANGELES, CA (The Spread) – The late game tonight in the NHL will pit the Red Wings against the Kings in a series that has been dominated by the home team.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Kings went from -172 money line favorites up to -190 on the money line, while the Red Wings’ odds have climbed from +155 to +171 for tonight’s game. The total, meanwhile, opened at 5.5 and dropped to 5, which is rare line movement for a NHL game.
The home team is 8-1 in the last nine meetings between these two teams while the Kings are a perfect 7-0 in their last seven games. They’re also 4-0 in their last four home games and 5-0 in their last five games versus a team with a winning record.
That said, the Red Wings are 14-5 in their last 19 games in Los Angeles and 41-17-2 in their last 60 games overall versus the Kings. They’re also 9-2 in their last 11 games versus Western Conference foes.
