(The Spread) – Although crowd favorite Darren Clarke is drawing attention at this year’s British Open, the showstopper on Friday was Tom Watson.

Watson drilled a hole-in-one at the 169-yard, par-three sixth on Friday, which was his 15th ace of his career. The 61-year-old American used a four-iron to hit the center of the green with one hop as the ball vanished into the cup to a roaring ovation from the crowd.
Heading into the second round of action at the British Open, oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog listed Watson as a 200/1 long shot. Graeme McDowell was listed as a 10/1 favorite heading into the round, while Lee Westwood was 12/1 and Rory McIlroy and Martin Kaymer were 12/1, respectively.
As of this writing, Clarke, Lucas Glover and Miguel Jimenez are all atop the leaderboard at –4, while Kaymer, Thomas Bjorn, Chad Cambell and Simon Dyson are all –3, respectively.
The 2011 British Open will continue on throughout day and over the weekend at Royal St. Georges course in Sandwich, England. The defending champion is Louis Oosthuizen and the purse is $7,300,00. Here is a complete list of odds for the second round of the 2011 British Open.
