(The Spread) – If the latest public betting information has a pulse on which way the public is leaning in tonight’s Big 12 Conference Tournament, then Missouri should roll. But are they being overvalued?

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made Missouri a 10-point favorite over Texas Tech on Wednesday night. The Red Raiders recently fired head coach Pat Knight, so surely oddsmakers are taking the pulse of the betting public in making the Tigers a double-digit favorite.
But again, are they overvalued? Texas Tech is 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games following a straight up loss and are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 versus the Big 12. They’re also 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 Wednesday night games. Granted, Missouri has been solid of late as well. They’re 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as a favorite and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games against Texas Tech.
Still, new Tech went to Missouri in mid-February and lost by 8 points after shooting 49.2 percent from the field. They covered as a huge 16.5-point underdog and that was when the favorite was 9-1 ATS in the previous 10 meetings between the two schools.
Regardless of their issues both on and off the court, this is a veteran squad, led by their top-4 scorers John Roberson (13.6 PPG), Mike Singletary (12.7 PPG), Brad Reese (11.6 PPG) and David Tairu (9.8 PPG). The four seniors still have plenty to proof and could come out swinging tonight.
Texas Tech +10 is something to think about.
