SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -The San Jose Sharks reassigned slumping rookie forward Devin Setoguchi to their AHL affiliate in Worcester on Friday.
Setoguchi, the eighth overall pick in 2005, has just one goal and one assist in his last 15 games, slowing from a strong start to his first NHL season. He has eight goals and two assists in 24 games.
Setoguchi, who will turn 21 on Tuesday, made the Sharks’ roster out of training camp, but missed nearly the first month of the regular season with an injured ankle. He had a rehabilitation stint at Worcester before making his NHL debut Oct. 29 with two goals against Dallas.
