BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Sabres goalie Ryan Miller is scheduled to play against Toronto on Friday, marking his first start after missing a month with a sprained left ankle.
Coach Lindy Ruff provided the news before the team’s home game against Florida on Wednesday. The game will be the 13th Miller has missed since being hurt in the third period of a 4-2 win over the New York Rangers on Feb. 21.
The Sabres have gone 3-7-2 without Miller and have fallen out of playoff contention. They were tied for sixth in the Eastern Conference after beating New York and now sit in 10th place, seven points behind Montreal for the eighth and final playoff berth. Buffalo has nine games left after playing Florida.
