COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Jason Chimera (chih-MAYR’-uh) off injured reserve.
The move Friday came less than a month after he underwent surgery March 4 to repair a groin injury.
The 29-year-old Chimera missed the last 16 games and has sat out 33 games this season after missing just one in the previous three seasons. He’s scheduled to play Saturday against the Predators in Nashville.
Chimera has appeared in 44 games this season, with eight goals and 13 assists.
