Cam Talbot made 35 saves during Thursday’s 3-2 SO win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Talbot allowed a total of two goals on 37 shots and finished the night with a .946 save percentage. He gave up one goal in the first and then later in the third, he gave up one power play goal that sent this game to additional minutes. There would eventually have to be a shootout to decide the outcome of this one, and during that Talbot did not allow a single goal, thus helping his team pick up a big win. This improves his record to 10-5-2. Talbot has not posted a regulation loss in his past five games. During that stretch he also picked up a shutout, showcasing that he is riding some great momentum as of late.

Robin Lehner made 35 saves during Thursday’s 3-2 SO loss to the Minnesota Wild. Lehner allowed a total of two goals on 37 shots and finished the night with a .946 save percentage. He allowed one goal in the first and one in the third, before giving up one additional goal during the shootout to Kevin Fiala that sealed a loss for Vegas in this matchup. This outcome puts Lehner’s record at 6-1-2. This loss breaks a four-game win streak for the netminder. As of now it is still unclear how big of a role Lehner will play for the Golden Knights heading forward this year, but it looks like they are not afraid to give him some starts so he has to be a fantasy consideration, especially in daily situations.
