Red Wings vs. Capitals Prediction
The over has been profitable in previous meetings between the Red Wings and Capitals, who will meet at 7:00 p.m. ET in D.C. on Wednesday. Even with the total sitting at 6, will the over cash this time around?

Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 32-of-35 shots in Sunday’s 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Nedeljkovic allowed goals in each period of Sunday’s contest, with Tyler Johnson, Dominik Kubalik and Henrik Borgstrom nicking him for scores in respective order. The performance — fine, if unspectacular — was aided greatly by a Red Wings offense which was destroying Marc-Andre Fleury (six goals allowed) in the opposite crease. It has been a rollercoaster ride for Nedeljkovic through four appearances this season. In that small space he has already turned in one game with seven goals allowed (against the Lightning to open the season) and two games with two or fewer goals allowed. A showdown with the Capitals shows next on Detroit’s schedule.
Washington Capitals DFS Spin
Ilya Samsonov allowed five goals on 37 shots during Monday’s 7-5 win over the Ottawa Senators. It’s not every day that you give up five goals and come away with a win, but the Caps netminder found a way. He wasn’t particularly great on Monday, but he did come up with some key saves when the game was close. The 24-year-old has given up nine goals in three games this season. He’ll go into his next appearance with a 2-0-1 record, a 3.32 goals-against-average and a .885 save percentage.
