Predators vs. Ducks Pick
The Anaheim Ducks will attempt to avoid falling into an 0-2 series hole when they host the Nashville Predators for Game 2 of the conference quarterfinals tonight at 10:30PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Ducks are -160 money line favorites over the Predators, who have odds of +140 to pull off the upset. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 5 goals for tonight’s game.

Which goaltender Bruce Boudreau will go with in Game 2 remains a mystery. Boudreau would not guarantee that John Gibson will get the start tonight, despite the coach saying that the Ducks would go with one goalie. Gibson made 31 saves in a 3-2 loss but Frederik Andersen, according to Boudreau, ‘never looked better’ than he did in the regular-season finale.
“I don’t know if I’m going to talk about my goalies right now,” Boudreau noted in the Orange County Register.

There’s no controversy for the Predators: They’ll go with Pekka Rinne in net after he topped Gibson in Friday’s Game 1 thriller. Rinne turned away 27 of 29 shots, including eight of nine on special teams.
OUR PICK: I expect the Ducks to bounce back tonight. The Predators are still just 1-4 in their last five road games despite winning on Friday night and they’re 1-5 in their last six road games versus a team with a winning home record. Nashville has also dropped nine of 13 against Anaheim and is 2-5 in its last seven games in Anaheim, again, despite the win on Friday night.
