John Gibson was pulled during Friday’s 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings. Gibson allowed four goals on 20 shots during an ice time of 34:17 before getting pulled from the game. He ended his night with a save percentage of .800 flat. Gibson was replaced by Anthony Stolarz. Stolarz stopped all of the 12 shots he faced during his playing time of just under 23 minutes. Gibson now has a record of 16-14-8.

The Islanders are just 1-5 in their last six games versus the Ducks and are 3-7 in their last 10 games in Anaheim. The Islanders are also just 1-5 in their last six road games, are 1-10 in their last 11 games as a road underdog and have dropped seven of their last eight games when playing the second game of a back-to-back set.
