Rod Brind’Amour was not pleased with the referee’s after Friday’s loss to Nashville. Brind’Amour went off on the refs as the Hurricanes have taken 14 penalties in the last two games while Nashville has been whistled for only six. “Nashville is a phenomenal team, but we’re also fighting the refs, that’s plain and simple,” Brind’Amour said, according to Hurricanes beat writer Cory Lavalette. “You can’t tell me two games in a row they get seven or eight penalties and we get three? When the game is this even? It’s not right.” Those comments should earn Brind’Amour a nice fine from the NHL.

Juuse Saros turned aside 52 shots in Friday’s double overtime win against the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3. Despite allowing four goals, Saros had an incredible performance in a massive game 3 that allowed the Predators to inch closer to tying the series. The 26-year-old made some great stops in the first overtime that prolonged the game and Matt Duchene eventually scored the game-winning goal. Saros had a 1-2-0 post-season record with a 2.82 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. Game four is scheduled for Sunday.
