Panthers vs. Lightning Prediction
With an opportunity to face the Lightning’s backup goalie, will the Panthers pull off the upset tonight when they visit Tampa Bay at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Lightning are -135 money line favorites to pull off the win at home tonight versus the Panthers, who have odds of +115. As for the total, the number currently sits at 5 goals.
Bet Tonight’s Panthers vs. Lightning Game
After Ben Bishop started and won in the Lightning’s 7-4 win over the Islanders on Friday night, Andrei Vasilevskiy will draw the start tonight against Florida. Vasilevskiy is coming off a 2-save effort in a 4-1 loss to Toronto on Tuesday night and could have trouble rebounding versus a tough Panthers team this evening.

Speaking of that tough Panthers team, Roberto Luongo will start for Florida and is coming off a solid outing in a win over Boston. He stopped 34 shots in the team’s 4-1 win in TD Garden and owns an impressive 31-18-6 record this season. Luongo also owns a 2.34 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.
The Panthers are 20-8 in their last 28 games versus Eastern Conference foes and have won 22 of 29 after allowing two goals or less in their previous game. With Vasilevskiy in net for Tampa, I like the underdog to pull off the upset tonight.
