Jacob Markstrom allowed six goals on 45 shots in Tuesday’s 6-2 loss to the Florida Panthers. Markstrom followed up Sunday’s 30-save performance with a huge let down. The 31-year-old struggled from the get-go as he allowed a weak goal to Patric Hornqvist to get the Panthers’ party started. He didn’t receive much help from his defense as he was under siege all night but he did face some stoppable pucks that he let by. Markstrom owns a 12-7-5 record with a 2.15 goals-against average and .926 save percentage.

Andrei Vasilevskiy stops 20-of-22 shots in Tuesday’s 7-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackes. It was a light night in terms of action in front of the net for Vasilevskiy. He got unlucky on Dean Kukan’s early second period goal as the puck took a couple of awkward bounces and left him out of position. His team also played some soft defense in front of him on Gustav Nyquist’s breakaway goal. However other than those two blunders, it was a pretty standard night for Vasilevskiy. The 27-year-old owns an 18-5-3 record with a 2.21 goals-against average and .924 save percentage.
