Carey Price allowed two goals on 17 shots in Montreal’s 3-2 Game 4 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets. Price would probably be the first one to tell you that he’d love to get back the two Logan Stanley goals but his teammates will cut him some slack after he has stood on his head for the most part of the opening two rounds. Price has been the MVP so far for the Canadiens and they’ll need to continue to see him play at a high level as they advanced to the semi-finals of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Marc-Andre Fleury will be up against his hometown team in the semifinals. Fleury did face Montreal before in the playoffs and he struggled with a .892 save percentage in that series, but that was back in 2010, so he’s a much different, far more experienced goaltender now. “A young goaltender just getting into the league or early in his career, for sure, that situation can be overwhelming,” coach Pete DeBoer said. “You’ve got an experienced guy that’s got multiple Stanley Cups. He’s been in these situations before. For me, that’s not a concern. He’s more than prepared to deal with all that.” For his part, Fleury is looking forward to it. He noted that he won’t be able to visit family or friends during this trip to Montreal, but he expects the series against Montreal to be an intense and fun one. He’s going into this series with a 1.91 GAA and .923 save percentage in 12 starts this year.
