Although Brad Marchand has stayed in the lineup, he isn’t 100%. Marchand sustained an upper-body injury during Thursday’s contest, but still ended up playing Saturday anyways. He registered an assist in 19:35 minutes of ice time and followed that up with another assist in Monday’s game. That doesn’t mean he made a quick recovery though. “There’s no doubt that he’s playing hurt,” Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said. Unfortunately Marchand won’t get much of a rest because Boston is set to play on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Nazem Kadri scored a goal in Monday’s 2-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. After being held off the off the scoresheet in his previous two games, Kadri found the back of the net on a power-play goal thanks to assists from Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar. The goal stood as the game-winner as the Blackhawks couldn’t find a way past Pavel Francouz. Kadri finished the game with seven shots on goal and a hit in 20:59 of ice time. The 31-year-old has 16 goals and 52 points in 37 games this season.
