FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots go into Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers (8-5) tied for the best record in the NFL in a season that began with uncertainty.
Coach Bill Belichick said before it started that there were plenty of unknowns. And with rookies playing key roles, it took a while to develop consistency. But they have it now and seem unstoppable after winning their last two games by a combined 81-10.
The Patriots (11-2) became the first team to clinch a playoff berth when they beat the Chicago Bears 36-7 last Sunday to improve to 11-2. Tom Brady leads the NFL with 29 touchdown passes and hasn’t thrown an interception in eight games.
Team owner Robert Kraft says the players have developed a chemistry that’s pretty special.
