FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – Darrelle Revis will be sidelined for the second straight game, meaning New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has to make more adjustments in his struggling secondary.
While Antonio Cromartie has stepped into Revis’ spot at left cornerback, rookie Kyle Wilson has had problems. Ryan says veteran Drew Coleman might get the start over Wilson on Sunday at Buffalo.
Revis strained his left hamstring in the first half of the win over New England in Week 2.
Without Revis, Ryan and defensive coordinator Mike Pettine acknowledge that they can’t do certain things with the defense in general that they can when their All-Pro cornerback is in the lineup. The secondary ranks 27th overall, and has given up 824 yards passing.
