NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Titans quarterback Vince Young will be a game-time decision Sunday against Houston after he took one series of snaps with the scout team Friday.
Young had injured his right quadriceps against Tampa Bay and had not practiced all week. He began Friday’s workout by dropping back and throwing the ball, then ran the Titans scout team offense during a red zone drill against the starting defense.
Young was not available to the media on Friday, but Titans coach Jeff Fisher said the quarterback felt better and would still be a game-time decision.
“He was limited. He participated in warmups, threw the ball and participated in limited practice,” Fisher said. “That would imply that he’s improving. He will still be a game-time decision, but it was encouraging to see him on the field today.”
Kerry Collins took all the first-team snaps on Friday.
“I’m ready to go. I feel like practice has gone well this week and I have a good feel for what we are going to do,” said Collins, who has not started a regular-season game since Sept. 24, 2006.
The Titans currently do not have a third-string quarterback on the active roster, though Ingle Martin is on the practice squad.
Elsewhere with the Titans, running back Chris Brown was out of practice with a left ankle injury for the third straight day, but he has not been ruled out of the game.
Fullback Ahmard Hall practiced on Friday after suffering a concussion against Tampa Bay.
Defensive end Antwan Odom, who has been battling a thigh injury, was also out of practice again Friday.
