LAS VEGAS (AP) – A judge has accepted terms of a plea deal calling for NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones to plead guilty to a minor charge and testify about a Las Vegas strip club triple shooting.
Jones didn’t have to appear while the judge accepted a written agreement calling for the suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback to plead no contest to one charge of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct, a gross misdemeanor.
The judge scheduled Jones to appear Dec. 5 to enter his plea. He will be sentenced to one year of probation.
A Clark County prosecutor said authorities hope Jones can identify the gunman who opened fire Feb. 19 outside a strip club where Jones had been involved in an earlier melee.
Prosecutors are dropping two felony charges of coercion that could have gotten Jones six years each in state prison.
