HOUSTON (AP) – For the second straight week, the Houston Texans have a watchful eye on star wide receiver Andre Johnson.
Coach Gary Kubiak says Johnson suffered a shin bruise in the first half of Sunday’s 30-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson was examined Monday morning and Kubiak says he is day-to-day.
Having Johnson back will help Houston fix the issues that led to Sunday’s sobering loss. Houston was its own worst enemy with 14 penalties for 113 yards, and the Texans gave up two non-offensive touchdowns.
Fixing the mistakes and putting up big plays were points Kubiak is looking to work on going forward. Seattle comes to town next Sunday.
